Wi-Fi technology has stood out in the wireless local net field because its wide transmission, safety, strong signals and wide range of coverage. With the gradual development of the Wi-Fi, the problem of the energy saving of the wireless network card has gained people’s popularity. As the traditional network cards cannot guarantee the performance in the information transmission, this thesis has designed a new way to drive the network under the protocol of low-energy consumption and dynamic optimal accounting method.First, this thesis has provided a low-energy driving plan. This thesis has analysed the working process of the Intel Wi-Fi netwok cards’s hardware structure. This thesis has invented a firmware and basic structure for driving the wireless network cards and then has detailedly supplemented both aspects to comprehensively improve the performance of the network card. A inquiry process has also been added to the driving protocol in oder for the customer to use and for the developer to adjust the system.This thesis has completed the design of the low-energy optimization protocol. This mechanism can provide a safe area which will not only not interfere with the protected area of the first protocol and can also divide the original mechanism into many compartments so that they can improve the flow of information and the low-energy purpose and conquer the technological bottleneck and the interference between different components.The firmware program is also equipped with the control scheme of power optimization algorithm of dynamic power to optimize protocol to better complete the card power savings. Its feature lies in the establishment of the power index table for network transmit power level, then the frame loss rate and power offset reasonable calculation and analysis. Compared to the original Wi-Fi network card driver, low power driver can transmit power based on dynamic adjustment of channel communication environment, to maximize the transmission of rationalization and energy-saving.At last, this thesis has completed the installation and adjustment work and analyzed as well as tested the theory. As the final result shows, the Wi-Fi network meet the expected requirement of Wi-Fi network cards drive program.
