Design Of An ISDN TA Driver Based On NDIS-WDM

This paper deals with the software of ISDN TA, which is based on USB. The driver is developed according to Windows Driver Model (WDM), and it also supports Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) and USB specification. After a thoroughly study of WDM NDIS and USB, a scheme used to develop the driver is provided. In this scheme, NDIS and WDM are integrated, and the driver using this scheme provides a NDIS interface upwards and a WDM interface downwards. The framework of the driver is thus greatly simplified. It proves that the expected goal of the software is met through its use in practice. The terminal adapter can be accessed to ISDN through NT1, and can be connected to Internet through ISDN router.
