With the rapid development of Network technology, communication technology and computer technology, the continuous application of Wireless sensor network makes the expansion of industrial control network further enhanced. Compared to traditional industrial control network, Wireless network has low-cost, easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, high flexibility and expandability for features, Huge potential application makes it become a hot spot in the study of theory and application, using wireless sensor networks in the industrial control system has become a trend. While the industrial main network still using a wired network, such as Ethernet control network. So study how to realize the integration between industrial wireless network and cable network has become more and more important. ZigBee is an emerging wireless sensor network technology, due to its low power consumption, low cost, low complexity, and other characteristic, it is being more and more widely applied to the all areas of life and industry. In this paper, ZigBee and industrial ethernet is used as example to elaborate the integration between industrial wireless network and cable network.Firstly, this paper discusses the technology and its development on wireless sensor network and industrial wireless network, and gives an overview on development satus of relative technology. On the basis of analyzing the need of integration between industrial wireless network and cable network, the technical ideas and solving solution are proposed, which means using the wireless gateway device to realize the integration of two networks.Then, overall design scheme of gateway system based on ARM9processor is put forward by the article, and giving the design framework of system hardware and software. According to the functional requirements of the gateway hardware, the components selection and each part of the hardware circuit design are given, and introduced some key problems in the PCB production process. The software system design includes the bootstrap loader programming, transplant of embedded Linux operating system, the root file system design, ZigBee module communication program and embedded Web server program programming, etc.Finally, gateway is running well in the function test and packet loss test process, which means the target of the integration between this two different networks is completed.
