According to the diagnosing engine methods and its development, the engine’s vibration signals which is in different conditions are acquired and analyzed based on LabVIEW and fractal.In the process of research, how to establish a new engine’s vibration signal acquisition system with LabVIEW2010software is introduced.To explained the necessity of establishing the data acquisition system, the PC program, hardwares and their connectivity are described clearly. The function of the system, which can get data of engineer vibration in real-time, observe the waveform of the signal and its power spectrum then store data to analyse, has been proved by experiments.In addition, it is also described the process of getting the engine’s vibration acceleration and power spectral data at the feed rate of idle, medium-speed and high-speed in the normal state, fault state of the spark plug failure and the air input failure.Finally, introduce a convenient calculating the fractal dimension way which is coming from fractal theory with MATLAB software. Then calculate the fractal dimension of the engine’s vibration acceleration in different condition. After comparing these dates, the conclusion is made that there is no obviously difference between each states.
