Vibration is a common phenomenon in nature. In many conditions, the vibration is important signal which can response running status of equipment. Through the acquisition, analysis and processing to the vibration signal, we can get the vibration conditions of buildings, equipments and other objects. This system is even expected to check out the exact location and cause of the damage equipment, but also to ensure a variety of buildings, bridges and other large objects to run security. Therefore, the work on the acquisition and monitoring of vibration is of great practical significance and practical value. In this paper, after a corresponding understanding to the development of variety vibration acquisition systems domestic and international, then have research and design a vibration data acquisition system by master-slave type and with a function of auto gain control.The job of this paper is aimed with the limitations of the most of the vibration acquisition system, selected cost-effective DSP chip"TMS320VC5402"and ARM chip"S3C2440"and make up a portable data acquisition system. At the same time, this paper does some exploring on methods of the vibration signal processing.Firstly step of this work is the vibration data system hardware design, including the circuit of power, AD converter, DSP peripheral interface ,and circuit of the host peripheral, man-machine interface and memory communication interface and so on. According to collection requirements by selecting appropriate chips, that could ensure the system functions of the hardware environment Integrity. Based on the hardware design, work at the portable vibration test system software customization. This design has completed the software of both DSP and ARM system. Program of DSP is primarily for data acquisition and auto gain control algorithm, and program of ARM host is mainly through custom embedded real-time operating systems and corresponding application design, data communications and storage implementation.This paper also delivered a preliminary study on pre-processing and analysis of vibration signals, and discussed the next step of the vibration signal processing.
