Design&Implementation Of Laboratory Management System Base On.NET

With the continuous progress and development of computer technology, more andmore of information processing using computers for processing, at the same time,information technology has penetrated into institutions of higher learning. Usingcomputer technology to the management and processing for the work of the school is animportant direction of development. For examples, on the management of school’scourse-selecting, teaching plan management, teachers’ and students’ file management,and the laboratories management. Computer technology has gradually penetrated intothe various departments of the institutions of higher learning, and the development ofcomputer technology provides an important technical means for the laboratoriesmanagement for institutions of higher learning.Laboratories in university is an important part of teaching and scientific research,is a cradle to cultivate the talents with a sense of innovation and practical ability. Theconstruction and management of the laboratories, the configuration of experimentalequipment, the quality of the laboratory staff, and the experimental content and so no,not only affect the school’s teaching and research, but also to the future development ofthe school. Therefore, there has an urgent need to reform the traditional lab managementmethods; we should introduce the modern laboratory management methods.In this paper, we studied the problems exist in the current lab management,compared the different laboratory management at home and abroad, analyzed themethods to solve the laboratory management, combined with the means of socialmanagement, on these basis, we combining computer network technology and databasetechnology, developed a laboratory management system to solve those problems. Theoutline and detailed design (including database design, software architecture design, andsoftware module design) of laboratory management system is presented in this paper.Finally, through the black box and white box testing, we get the optimal and correctresult. System test results show that the system is fully functional and the performanceis reliable, so the system can satisfy the laboratory management needs.The system uses Microsoft Visual Studio.Net2005platform tools for development, using Microsoft SQL Server2005as data server. The system includes a user loginmodule, experimental teaching management module, experimental equipmentmanagement module, system management module, and the report query module. Weassociate he lab management system with the student information management system.Our laboratory management system based on the computer network technology anddatabase technologies, not only greatly simplifies the management work of staff andimprove work efficiency, but also reduce the cost of for the employer, is a newmanagement model. Laboratory management system can efficiently achieve the modulefunction, so that the statistical work, scheduled lab work, and queries are closely linked,all this make the laboratory management be a efficiently system.
