Cloud computing is based on Internet service increases, the use and delivery mode, appears in the process of integration of traditional computer and network technology development, and provides a solution for managing a large number of virtualization resources. The cloud computing technology can provide end users with standard services such as the data, calculation ability, etc. Therefore, it has some reference value for solving the present problem in universities information system, including server unified management difficulty, low hardware resource utilization rate, complex system maintenance, long time for new application deployment and so on.This paper concentrates on constructing campus service center by cloud computing technology, i.e., how to establish calculate service center by making use of cloud computing framework for colleges and universities to improve the use of software and hardware efficiency and service quality. This paper quantitatively analyzes the existing problems in school service center, summarizes the functions service center should have and proposes the structure and reference model based on cloud computing technology. It also introduces method and process of two important modules in the system-virtualization and cloud monitoring. Simulation results show that through the establishment of the campus service center based on cloud computing, on the one hand, the ordinary user can apply corresponding computing and storage resources according to one’s need, on the other hand the school information service center can reasonable distribute computing and storage resources, thus improve the utilization rate of hardware resources.This study shows that the cloud computing technology can effectively integrate the dispersive hardware resources with unified management, which improve the effectiveness of existing hardware resources, making system maintenance and application deployment more efficient.
