This paper focuses on IaaS cloud, and it first surveies current well-known IaaS clouds, take a comparison of these systems. Base on the analysis, Each IaaS in the academic community has its own set of system architecture, role definition and limited usage scenarios. Because of their complexy components, user can’t manage them easily with confuse conception and its difficulty to study and rearch results in unefficiently secondary development. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes and impleaments a typical IaaS as modular. It mainly uses open source components to build IaaS which supports disttibuted deployment, online expansibility, efficiently construction and usability.This paper proposes a modular construction approach to IaaS, which divides a typical IaaS into sub-systems. Each sub-system has specific functionalities and interfaces, and two sub-systems with the same functions and interfaces can replace with each other and pluged into the whole IaaS system. This paper design and implement typical IaaS which used to manage and virtualize heterogeneous and distribute hardware. Finally constructs and deploys a game server in the cloud, and takes this as an example to show how to use and operate a typical IaaS.
