Problems And Countermeasures Of China Unicom GSM Engineering

With the worldwide mobile communication market expansion, the mobile communication industry has developed rapidly, since its3G licence issued, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom which led three mobile operators development more quickly, more competitive. As is known to all above three operators operating the network, the market competition ultimately reflects the mobile communication network quality competition, how to use the existing resources of the network to make it bigger, stronger and better, is the long-term development of the basic foothold. Therefore, the construction of mobile communication network is still construction work center of gravity for ZZTL company in the next few years. The ZZTL company17phase of the GSM project started in July2009which has larger investment amount, more construction sites and the most compact construction period in the ZZTL company mobile communication network construction history. The ZZTL company staff of the ministry of construction distinguished record and had achieved great success. At the same time also faces problems such as:slow progress of base station construction, confusion of contract management, quality control problem, security problem of the engine room, bidding management problem, material management problem, unexpected expenses management problem, personnel training problems which still need further improvement in the future construction.In this paper, research and analysis have been done in the construction of the communication industry environment and cover situation in the ZZTL company at present. Quantitative prediction method has been used to forecast the quantity of construction of base stations during the past four years in ZZTL company. It also has been corrected quantitative prediction results by integrating actual situation of ZZTL company and other two operators’ coverage of environment. It has put forward necessity and urgency concerning of China Unicom GSM engineering problems and research countermeasures. According to own characteristics of ZZTL company base station construction, considering the factors influencing future development of ZZTL company, it has put forward the China Unicom GSM engineering problems and significance of the countermeasure research. According to ZZTL company GSM seventeen period engineering problems, this paper has put forward China Unicom GSM engineering problems and countermeasures research, which mainly includes accelerate the construction speed strategy, contract management strategy, quality control strategy, room security strategy and bidding management strategy, material management strategy, a cost management strategy, the cultivation of talents strategy, solving the base station construction in repeat investment strategy. It also points out the China Unicom GSM engineering problems and countermeasures effectively, which has played a catalytic role for ZZTL company network construction and provided valuable experience for the same base station construction work.
