With the rapid development of the Web and the correlative technology, the information explosion known as "Big Bang" has taken place on the Internet. Therefore, people have attached more importance to the Information Retrieval than ever before, and at the same time Search Engine has become one of the most helpful tools for retrieving useful information from the Web. However, most of the document on the Internet are structureless or semistructured and the machine on the current Web can not catch on the semantic information of these documents. Because of these shortcomings of the current Web, the recall and precision of search engines including some famous search engine Yahoo, Google are difficult to meet the actual needs of users, at the same time, the existing search engines in areas within certain query also appears insufficiently intelligent.Now utilizing the semantic techniques based on ontology to search the Web has become prevalent, on the use of semantic search technology to improve information retrieval accuracy research has achieved certain results,some common methodologies appear such as basic concept location, complex constraint queries etc. In conclusion, semantic search integrates the semantic web and search engine to improve the search results.Based on the semantic Web related concept, related technology (especially in Jena, Pellet, Prote ge-OWL API three important development framework) as well as to the search engine system development process of the research, and with the aid of Prote geontology editing tools and Graphviz drawing tools,in this paper, the author will give a analysis of the current semantic search engine, and will put forward a novel approach to customize the user’s query.It enables the user to intuitively customize to meet their demand of query.In this approach, the Ajax technique which is the core concept of Web2.0will be adopted to improve the interactivity of the query customization process, and the whole system could make the users at the Browser side could operate directly on the SVG-based graph to finish the location of the concept and add complex constraints to the query concept. The sever accept the request from the client and inference the instances of the concept based on the Boolean-Logic, then return the page document to the client. The system design of the eight modules:ontology persistence module, the graphical custom page modules, a server controller Servlets module, drawing function of SVG module, Suggest module to limit input, tree view processing module, the OWL ontology analysis module, RDQL module, realizes six functions: ontological categories to browse, query set category, category add relational object properties, for the category add data attributes, class instantiation, the query case set.Through experiments, this approach could improve the precision and recall of the search compared with the traditional key-word based search engines.
