Realtime monitoring on poultry house environment is very benificial to animal’s health. The quality of environment in poultry house is of great consequence in promoting animal’s health and the quality of husbandry product, in boosting the output of animal husbandry and economic benefits, and in protecting the environment. Traditionally, the poultry house environmental monitoring(PHEM) system was designed in a wired way. Such design involves problems like more wiring, high maintenance costs, and less accuracy. Advances in wireless network technology and microcomputer control creates new insights and methods for PHEM. This article studies the design of of PHEM system based on WSN and provides a new perspective in PHEM.Recent years have witnessed the continous outbreak and spread of epidemic animal diseases. According to experts, there is a high correlation between the outbreak&spread of diseases and the deteriorating environment in animal house. Field-trip investigation in the characteristic features of animal diseases indicates that negative influencing factors include the exceeding in-house temperature and humidity, impeded ventilation, high concentration of CO2, NH3, SO2. After analysing the demand in applying wireless network to PHEM system and analysing the application of the networking technology of network monitoring platform and wireless communication, this article put forward a design of PHEM system based on single-chip JN5139and WSN.As is required in PHEM, a communication node is developed with JN5139as central hardware. The node drives sensor STH11to record temperature and humidity. The node of the sensors will in turn send the eco-factor data collected to sink nodes by multi-hop. Sink nodes will conduct preliminary analysis and fusion, and then send the data via ports to be displayed on the PC in the monitor center. JN5139will quickly realize the networking using wireless communication technology. Using a mesh topology structure, a communication mechanism and way of networking with reliable wireless sensor nodes, which realizes a optimum node-transmission route and multi hop uploading, and enhancing network dynamic programs and data security, and ensuring the reliability and security of the network. PCs in monitor center, using an interactive artificial interface, realtime monitor the environment and ecological data, and provides data trends and data query.Tests shows that this design has the following advantages:simple, easy for networking, long transmission distance, effective and accurate in monitoring poultry house environmental factors, which increases the intelligentization of poultry house environmental monitoring.
