The inspection of Special Equipment is vital, so the national government authority attach great importance to improve the safety monitor. They said we must reduce the number of accidents as much as possible at the same time guarantee the improvement of quality of life. As information management system is more and more popular, the inspection of pressure vessel becoming automating work based on Web. In that way, the worker can avoid many careless mistakes and facilitate the management.Because of the obvious flaws on pressure vessel inspection information system, we need find a way to overcome these problems and create a new system without these flaws. The problems are: they almost use C/S structure, have limit to application; their tables cannot be user-defined, are not humanized enough; the reports cannot be managed in a flow, and the management is not convenient enough. We create the new system, which is using B/S structure, whose reports can be user-defined and can be managed in a flow. As a result, the born of the new system can make difference for this industry, for improving the efficiency of pressure vessel inspection. In addition, it makes the management standard.This project is based on Boiler pressure vessel Inspection research center of Quality and Technical Supervision. It is part of National gold engineering for technological transformation. The system is in use, and has been widely recognized.This paper made a survey of pressure vessel inspection, and analyzed them. After that, we designed the system, chose the right technical proposal, determined the design target, planed the modules, and explained everyone. Then, we built the platform, chose the right develop software and data base. And we built program frame, designed software architecture. Then, we encapsulated some basic functions, and realized functional modules, which have user-defined platform. At last, the system was tested by some ways. Some faults had been found and corrected. And the whole system was comprehensive evaluated.This system accords with the national regulation industry requirements and the users’needs. It is applicable、humanized、standard、expansible、convenient and security. As it has been used, we could know it is a good pressure vessel inspection information system.
