This new software delivery model can help the majority of SMEs cope with the changes of the era, new challenges.In this paper, a cloud computing-based inventory management system, first give a simple introduction to the basic concepts of ERP systems and cloud computing model, the relevant characteristics and the current development situation, focusing on the importance and necessity of research and development of ERP system based on the cloud computing model as well as the future development of significance. Furthermore, on the basis of the J2EE layered architecture and design concepts of the MVC pattern, combined with the four major advantages of cloud computing applications, safety, convenience, data sharing, limitless possibilities, from design to achieve given the data layer, logic operations layer corresponding technical solutions. This article is based on the inventory management module in the ERP system to focus on the object, the analysis of the inventory management module of the basic functions and composition of materials management, information management, basic business management and business reports four functional sub-module cases and focus on items authorized and anti-authority, position management, the realization of the monthly billing and the abolition of the month settlement period control, warehousing/out of database management and automatic report generation function discussed in one by one. Because the system uses J2EE, XML and other advanced development techniques and more popular Oracle database, and the introduction of the CVS version control, can greatly improve system availability and maintainability. The use of IT technology, many enterprises are very concerned system about the availability and maintenance of these two principles. Thus reducing the threshold of customer care, reduce customers daily maintenance burden can reduce the negative impact of the equipment, safety, and personnel.ERP system based on the cloud computing model to explore and study, can help to improve the applicability of the ERP software, user-oriented features, in different sectors, SME to provide "tailored" ERP implementation, especially for small and medium enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness, promoting China’s SME informatization construction of new road.Based on the realization of the inventory management system in the cloud computing model, inventory management, business activities more convenient, inventory information can be shared more effectively, simplify the business processes of corporate materials management, making the business and inventory processing can be quickly and efficiently completed.
