Research And Implementation Of The Characterized Database Construction In University Library

With the computer communication technology, network technology and multimedia technology development,University library pay more and more attention to the construction of the digital information resources. From the late1990’s, university library began to construct all kinds of characteristic database for teaching or research. the survey shows that the nearly80%of university library had characteristic database that combined with their own collection features, professional discipline characteristic, regional characteristics and so on, but the characteristic database had some problems, such as resources organization structure is not clear, retrieval single, resource renewal lower frequency, external access difficultly.
