With the development of our country’s mobile communication business, the increasing popularity of mobile phones and the e-business, the limitations of traditional financial payment gradually exposed, and may become the bottleneck of economic development, mobile payment comes into being in this background. Mobile payment is business transactions through mobile communication network, which buyers and suppliers for some goods or services using the mobile device (usually a mobile phone, PDA, etc.) as the carrier. Mobile payment is a new business, which is a combined electronic cash, identity verification, mobile communications and mobile terminals, users can enjoy a variety of services anytime and anywhere.This paper starting from actual problem of mobile payment system, design and implement a client of mobile payment based on Android platform. This client has the following key features:high security, high real-time, scalability, rich business logic function and user-friendly GUI. Firstly, this paper from the design and implementation of mobile payment client’s basic knowledge, an overview of the mobile payment-related knowledge; and then focuses on information security related knowledge, SSL protocol and basic knowledge of cryptography, then mobile payment client’s design ideas are introduced. From the standpoint of software engineering, a hierarchical design proposal are presented, the function and design ideas for each layer are elaborated in details, and descript the implementation process of each layer on the Android platform. Finally, point out the shortcomings of mobile payment client and future research directions.This client of mobile payment meets design requirements of Android platform and needs of users, the design and implementation will be applied to commercial projects in future.
