Image target tracking technology involved in many subject areas, such as image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, microelectronics and so on. It is also a difficult, interdisciplinary, comprehensive emerging technology, represents the advanced science and technology level in the forefront of the subject.This paper first designed and realized the double road PAL synchronous display card which based on PCI bus, with the goal to show the image data produced by the moving targets of simulation scene. The display card has the characteristics of good programmable, strong commonality and so on. And then realized a image tracking system based on two pieces of TMS320C6416T, which detailed introduced the overall design scheme and characteristics of tracking system, the interface module design and communication between each other. After the system test, the tracker can work real-time and steadily on target tracking. Finally, according to the development needs of the tracker, this paper had also put forward the design proposal of the high-speed image tracking device based on TI multicore and high performance digital signal processor TMS320C6678. The television images tracker designed in this paper has the characteristics of simple circuit and easy to realize. Under the premise of satisfy the tracking system performance, we can also realize the miniaturization of the system.
