Video object tracking is a new tracking technology developed in recent years. It combines the technology of image processing, automatic control and information science. It is the technology to automatically together to recognize targets in from image signal in real time, and get targets' position to track its movement. With the appearance of high performance Digital Signal Processors and Filed Programmable Gate Array, the advantages like practicability and flexibility of video object tracking technology has emerged. This paper first introduces the design scheme of the video object tracking system based on VME Bus, and the implementation methods of each functional module. And then it introduces the design of FPGA and system level based on Verilog HDL in detail, including VME Bus control, ping-pong operation, LVDS, the form of SVGA scheduling and so on, and implements using VME Bus in video object tracking system. My studies of this paper are the design and implementation of video object tracking system based on the technology of FPGA design and VME Bus.
