Ad Hoc Tactical Internet is a non-center, self-organization, multi-hop sharedwireless communication network. It has a lot of advantages, such as it does not requirea fixed facility support, temporarily organize, good mobile performance, strongnetwork survivability and rapid deployment capability. It can provide a reliableplatform for the information transmission under the complex battlefield environment. It could effectively satisfy communication requirements of tactical department ordivision team. Ad Hoc Tactical Internet could realize the seamless connection amongwireless tactical communication, battle communication and strategic communication. In recent years, Ad Hoc Tactical Internet technology has made rapid development. It plays an important role in variety of exercises and local field. However, Along withthe Tactical Internet technology unceasing development, the facing problems are moreand more obvious. One of the most notable problems is energy consumption of mobileterminal. This thesis presents a WADSR routing algorithm which considers themaximize of network lifetime and the minimization of transmission energy. It uses aweighted algorithm, which could make the network run in different periods accordingto their own situation to choose energy survival maximization strategy or transmissionenergy minimization strategy. Then it could achieve an effective balance between thistwo cases. Finally, this thesis compares the DSR algorithm and WADSR algorithm’s functionby OPNET simulation software under the background of battalion-level units’performs combat missions. The results show WADSR algorithm as an effectiveenergy-saving routing algorithm for the Ad Hoc Tactical Internet.
