Modeling And Software Design Of Chaff-jamming On Active Phased Array Radar Simulation System

Active phased array radar is widely used with its many advantages such as themulti-function, adaptive, anti-jamming, high reliability and other advantages, and alongwith the active phased array radar in the fourth generation warplanes service, airborneradar entered the phased array system era. Under the background, chaff, as traditionalpassive distraction, whether can interfere airborne active phased array radar effectivelyand continue to play its role of interference efficiently and cheaply, becomes animportant research direction.This paper focus on target tracking mode of airborne active phased array radar,researched tactical use of chaff baits and its deceptive interference effect. Firstly,according to research purpose, designed countermeasure simulation system ofchaff-jamming on active phased array radar, including scene simulation, active phasedarray radar system, jamming methods, jamming effects evaluation, etc; set up thecountermeasure simulation system model of chaff-jamming on active phased array radar,including motion model of target aircraft, radar carrier aircraft and chaff baits, model ofactive phased array radar, electromagnetic environment and interference effectivenessevaluation; designed simulation software of chaff-jamming on active phased array radarand interference effectiveness evaluation; finally, put forward several differentinterference methods of chaffs according to a large number of computer simulationbased on different combat situations, jamming methods and maneuver tactics of targetaircraft.The research results shows that the chaff-jamming still have interference effect onactive phased array radar that is advanced and flexible, so chaff can still be installed inaircraft to play its role of interference.
