Pulse doppler radar has the advantages of a narrow beam, the high speed and highprecision, which also has the functions of doppler velocity identification, filtering andstrong anti-clutter, so the air-to-air missile radar seeker widely uses pulse doppler radarterminal guidance. Chaff as a tradition passive jamming equipment, whether caneffectively interfere the pulse doppler radar seeker and continue play a role in acost-efficient interference and cheaply, become an important researching direction inthe field of radar system modeling and simulation.This paper uses the air-to-air missile radar seeker which has the pulse doppler radarsystem as its background. Firstly, the chaff jamming on air-to-air missile radar seekersystem scheme is designed, then the simulation system is partitioned into differentmodules according to the composition and the structure of the radar seeker system.Meanwhile, the mathematical models of each function module are established. Secondly,this paper designs the simulation software of chaff jamming on air-to-air missile radarseeker and evaluation of jamming effect in details based on Matlab platform.Meanwhile, the main technology of simulation software realization and the design floware proposed. Finally, because of the combination of the simulation software, this paperimplements the dynamic simulation test according to different combat situations,jamming methods and maneuver tactics of target aircraft, then propose newchaff-jamming methods based on different war situation.The research results shows that the chaff-jamming still have interference effect onair-to-air missile radar seeker, so chaff can still be installed in aircraft to play its role ofinterference.
