With the development and maturity of3G technology, the mobile terminal is developing rapidly moving in the direction of support high-speed and high-capacity data services. In addition to traditional mobile terminals, the data card with its comprehensive features and price advantage is gradually occupying the market.The data services is the primary concern of the user experience. Although the connection process of the network is very short, it is involved in a series of complex interaction process.Therefore, the study of networking process of data card is essential to enhance the ability of the overall operational capacity.In this thesis, the background is based on terminal data card project which based on Qualcomm’s MSM platform.First the PC-side software design and implementation process are introduced systematically, including the design idea, business processes, system architecture, implementation of the interface.Next, in the functional part of its design, the implementation of data networking modules are introduced emphatically,and two kinds of dial-up method are put forward:the RAS dial-up and the NDIS dial-up. Then detailed design and implementation for RAS dial-up are described, and design of NDIS dial-up is also introduced briefly.Finally, the data networking module has been tested.The modual achieved the design requirements.At present, the project has been completed and become the world’s first multi-mode LTE data card. It caused many opertors to follow.
