Spread Spectrum Communication is a kind of communication that data modulated by PN sequences are transmitted after spreading the spectrum. The M-ray/FH-SS(M-ray direct sequence and frequency hopping spread spectrum) communication system is a hybrid of the M-ray direct sequence spread spectrum and the frequency hopping spread spectrum which integrates the advantages of the two techniques including enhancing the anti-interference and anti-interception ability of the system. In this thesis, FPGA implementation of M-ray/FH-SS hybrid receiver which includes structure, simulation and the combination with hardware platform is focused. The main contributions are as follows:1. An M-ray/FH-SS communication system solution is given with the principle analysis of each of the modules.2. The Implementation of a whole FPGA structure of receiver demodulation algorithm is presented, especially the FPGA implementation of the Partial Matched Filter (PMF) by using DA(distributed algorithm)and the main structure of tracking module by using CORDIC algorithm.3. The solution for receiver based on hardware platform is given, at the same time, the verification and debugging of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) are performed successfully.
