In the wake of large-scale application of WLAN (Wireless Local-Area Network),traditional wireless network focusing on Fat AP (Access Ponit) technology could nolonger suffice customers’ requirement, thus calling out the emergence of centralizedwireless management that introduces AC (Access Controller) and Thin AP, whichgreatly tackles the unmet needs. Meanwhile, its expansive scale and complicatedequipment upgrades bring out a severe challenge to system stability and huge demandfor technical support. To solve the issue, an innovative concept of zero configuration isintroduced into the initial CAPWAP(Control And Provisioning of Wireless AccessPoint)protocol.Based on the study of CAPWAP,the thesis elaborates on the zero configuration ofcentralized WLAN structure, which leverages the security and stability of large-scaleupgrade. The thesis falls into two parts: one part focuses on the design and realization ofzero configuration by developing zero-configuration UE module, and the other partcenters on functions derived from zero configuration, such as the priority control ofsensing AC process, OS upgrade, information report, and saving configuration, etc.The AP zero configuration design presented in this paper, working in collaborationwith AC, has been greatly applied in the concentrated WLAN system. And the test resultshows that it can meet the chanllenge brought up by large-scale upgrade, and also candeliver the functions required in normal use. |
