With the rapid development of WLAN technology, large-scale wireless network deployment has become an inevitable trend in the future. In the course of the popularity of WLAN of centralized control type, more demands for the wireless access point management are asked by the operators and higher requirements for the wireless service are asked by the wireless users.Based on the study of the CAPWAP protocol, a detailed analysis to achieving multi-mission for client of the CAPWAP on the wireless access point was made in the thesis. According to this analysis, on one hand, a program which could collect and report the information from the device by multithreading of the CAPWAP client was designed. By this program, the information from the wireless access point and Station can be collected and reported by client flexibly and efficiently. Then, the management of wireless network device will be more convenient. On the other hand, for the possible abnormal of CAPWAP client, an automatic recovery function was designed. By this function, CAPWAP client could automatic recovery quickly without any influence for user and a more stable wireless network services would be provide for user.In the development stage of the project, classification print of debugging information and debugging information record which according to the needs of debugging were designed. At the same time, the debugging tool gdb were transplanted to the OpenWrt platform to bring many conveniences for development and debug later.
