The WSNs Gateway System Based On OSGi

With the rapid development of economic in recent years, the food securityissues become more and more prominent. The real-time monitoring of agriculturalinformation has great significance on the guidance of agricultural production andthe solution of the issues.Throughout the monitoring system, wireless sensor network gateway is thecore of the system—the communication platform of wireless sensor networks andInternet. Domestic wireless sensor network gateways only achieve a simplefunction of the data transmission, they can’t meet the demand for agriculturalinformation in the future.To meet the above requirements, the paper describes the wireless sensornetwork gateway design from the perspective of hardware and software which isbased on the OSGi framework. Eventually we build a dynamic, modular gatewaysystem here.This paper elaborates the composition and the related properties of OSGi.Then it analysis the functions, the design objectives and design ideas of theOSGi-based gateway system. The hardware design composed of the RS232, USB,TCP/IPinterface and the ZigBee and GPRS modules. The software design containsthe establishment ofARM-Linux environment to build the OSGi framework,device accessing, data processing and network management components.
