The rapid development of Internet has been evidently changed the work fashions of the human being, greatly advanced the production efficiency of enterprises and created huge fortune for society. But the benefit is very limited for personal life, and the traditional life style has not been changed obviously because of Internet. Thus it is the key step of information revolution to implement the network control of the house and advance the life conditions.At present, there is the WAN and protocols outside the house, while LAN and protocols at home. But it is short of the protocol of network and its requirements between outside and inside of the house, but OSGi has filled up the blank. It is the service transferring mechanism connecting the outside and inside of the house and provides the open platform. But it exists scarcity applying it to the intelligent control of the house. The quality of service for the home gateway is very important for the users. It indicates the quality promise of information communication between the sender and the receiver, user and network. And the promise is equal to the contract between the service provider and the receiver. But it doesn't define and provide Quality of service in OSGi specification. Thus how to provide the reliable service quality is the stringent problem in the OSGi-based home gateway.At the same time, the software system is becoming into highly dynamic and open system from static and close because of Internet. The web-based applications are getting more and more complicated. Thus the conventional secure technology can't satisfy the secure requirements of the current Internet, especially the OSGi-based home gateway. But the OSGi specification can't supply the mechanism for the secure function in the distributed network environment. So how to provide the secure control in the OSGi-based Gateway is the ongoing problem.The paper analyses the national and overseas research fruits, and make the study on the security and quality of service of the OSGi-based home gateway. And it put forward feasible methods. The major research and innovation fruits are as follow.1. At the first, the paper puts forwards the theory framework of the trust management system in distributed network enviroment, which consists of the trust credential, credential graph, conversion mechanism and the theory rules. The trust credential consists of head and body. The credential grgph describes the relationship of the trust credentials. The convertion mechanism can supply the rule of bridging thecredential and the logic rule. The elements of the theory rules are authentications, authorizations, authorization maps, licenses and assertions.The trustworthiness is playing the important role in the trust management theory framework of distributed network. The trustworthiness is constantly correcting by the both activity result. And the degree and computing of the trust is different in different trust models. The trustworthiness is the embodiment of the experience and subject. The original method provides the same degree of success and failure. It doesn't accord with the real cognition. So it has the baleful recommendation and prejudicial phenomena. The computation may be erratic. It brings the new method of computing the trustworthiness. It adds the new intermediate participator and trust factor to the trust model. Then it can analyse the trust degree depending the concrete environment. So the new method would reduce the baleful recommendation.2. Secondly, It proposes the effective mathematic model from the control theory, and proves the stability and equilibrium of task control model in QoS management. It finishes the problem of system-wide properties related to adaptation. The global QoS system will supply the mapping function of system-wide and application-wide. Thus it put forwards the QoS parameter configuration model which consists of the configurator and formula base. The configurator produces the control behavior with the output of adaptor as input information. It enables the auto configuration and parameter adjustability of the application. The formula base particular satisfies the especial request of the application and gets the adaptable performance.3. Finally, it defines the formal notions for the system with the target task to distinguish the resource request ratio. The system needs translation mechanisms in order to map theoretical adaptation values to actual control actions. It has two kinds of cases. In the first case, one or more performance or application-specific parameters are linearly related to the abstract notion resource requests. So, it is sufficient to design a linear translation scheme to transform theoretical values linearly with coefficients specified by the application task. In the second case, the performance or application-specific parameters to be controlled are not linearly related to the abstract notion of resource requests, or it may be the case that rather than parameter tuning, reconfiguration options are to be adopted.
