With the development of the printer market, large format scanners and large format inkjet printers are used in various fields. Because scan-inkjet integrative machines can scan, print, copy and fulfill some other functions, there are more and more people who need it. Motion controller, the executive module of integrative machine, serves to receive, parse and execute the print commands sent by the main controller, and check the signals of the sensors, then make the machine work to print in an orderly manner.Based on an intensive study in the working principle, the mechanism principle and the process of the large-format scan-inkjet integrative machine, overall design for motion controller was proposed according to the master plan for integrative machine. Further, the motion control board was designed and implemented and the control software was designed and programmed.MCU and FPGA were adopted as the control kernel to construct the drive control hardware circuit. The circuit board was small and more reliable. The overly design plan of the circuit board and its function modules were discussed in detail; Meanwhile, some key modules of FPGA were given with their function signal simulation charts. In FPGA, two programs were to achieve the control of motor speed:Rom-Program and S-Program, and in order to pinpoint nozzle and improve the location accuracy and reliability, the state-machine of signal of the raster were used to amplify four times the frequency of the signal.Last, combination of FPGA, the overly design plan of the software and its function modules were discussed in detail, and an program was given to synchronize the speed of In-Motor and the speed of Move-Motor.Finally, the debug results of the motion controller’s hardware circuit and software show that each function module can perform prescribed tasks and meet design requirements.
