Motion control is such a kind of technology that integrated control technology with compute technology in order to achieve real time control of the moving motors. Motion control technology consists of trajectory planning and servo control technology. That is the integration of compute technique, microelectronics and control technology.The function of high speed and high precision motion control technology become greater and greater in modern industrial equipment. In recent years, the tendency with small volume and high density of IC chips has been fueling the demand for IC manufacturing equipments with high speed and high precision characteristics. And the traditional motion controller can't meet the challenge of the high speed and high accuracy As long as the reliability can be maintained, a new motion controller is more desirable.This research investigated motion control technology and analyzed motion controller structure. Then designed the hardware and software of the embedded motion controller based on FPGA. Introduce the digital PID arithmetic, described the hardware design of the every part of the system. Detailed described the every internal module of the motion controller by verilog HDL language. Design the test platform based on Labview and FPGA and used it to validate the performance of the motion controller.This system got used to the trend of digital Power in the international,take the advantage of the FPGA,and improved the common usage of the system...
