Turkey's Actual Situation Of The Freedom Of The Press And Its Management System

Freedom of the press as the fourth power and the citizens’oversight tool, with all modern civilized nations recognized cornerstones of democracy. As every freedom, freedom of the press can deliberately or unwillingly abuse; but that does not mean freedom need to suppress. So this "freedom of press" should have legal protection and management system in accordance with modern international standards. This paper first theoretically analyzes the concept of freedom of the press, then after introducing Turkey which mixed the Eastern and Western cultures and enjoys the democratic system, introduce the legal protection provided for freedom of the press in Turkey. Related interview with20journalists of the most famous in the Turkish media, this paper analyzed the most common aspects of the Turkish press freedom be abused and Turkey by which management methods in order to guarantee more freedom of the media. Paper presents instance and add media insider’s point of view, so as to describe the actual situation; will discuss the role of media freedom on the democratization of Turkey.
