Moreover, the paper does some description about niche principle and application, that making theoretical foundation to the research of patent niche. Using the way of the principle methods of transplantation, quantitative analysis, etc. The paper puts forward the concept and connotation of patent subject’s niche, and construct measurement model of patent subject’s niche.The paper mainly makes research on patent subject to measurement in the Internet of things. By niche measure model, the paper chooses three technological fields as dimensionality calculate the number and cited frequency of nine patent subjects with niche breadth and niche overlap. Comparing with the traditional calculation, the meaning of niche calculation is gotten. With the data, the paper uses the software of Think-cell getting bubble chart, and visually sees patent competitive relationship among the patent subjects. Moreover, the paper does some compare and analyzes among patent subjects in three technological fields, getting the advantage of various patent subject, excavating and expanding with niche. Through optimizing the environment and building the main body union, the patent subjects influence is improved.
