With the rapid process of industrial automation and information technology, there are more and more non-linear load equipments which bring serious harmonic contamination are used in the power grid, such as converter, variable speed divers etc. Therefore, more and more people become to pay attention to the harmonic controlling which has become the urgent problem in electric power system.In this paper, a hybrid power filter is researched to prevent harmonic currents. It is consisted by passive filter and active power filter in parallel. Passive filter is used to compensate with large number of low-order harmonics, and active power filter compensates with the remaining higher-order harmonics. The device combines the advantages of the two filters, and it can meet both requirements of good filtering performance and economic costs. Passive filter improves the deficiency that the traditional passive filters easy to be affected by grid parameters based on a new type of controllable reactor.This paper describes the classification and basic working principle of the hybrid power filter, and focuses on the key technologies of active power filter. After comparing a variety of harmonic detection method, this paper chooses ip-iq algorithm which is based on instantaneous reactive power theory; what’s more, the paper also describes the current and voltage types of compensation current control strategy, which respectively uses the controlling method of triangular wave and space vector; PI regulator is used to achieve stable controlling of the DC side’s capacitor voltage. Based on MATLAB, simulation models of harmonic detection and control strategies are built. And which verifies the correctness and feasibility of the selected method by analyzing and comparing the simulation results.On the basis theory analysis and simulation researching of the hybrid power filter, this paper has designed the parameters of the main circuit of active power filter, and built the experimental apparatus of three-phase active power filter and single-phase parallel hybrid power filter based on the DSP TMS320F2812controlling.
