With the progress of science and technology,researches on remote medical treatmentbecome hot. This paper is focused on one part of the project,which named The health statusof remote monitoring and early warning system based on BAN(body area network) and theproject is proposed by Technology Gallery of jilin province.Through the analysis of modernremote medical monitoring system,we applicate ontology technology into the remote healthmonitoring system in the BAN environment and use technologies of ontology constructionand rule reasoning to set up a new generation of remote health monitoring service.Throughusing this technology,we can realize the unity、sharing and reuse of diagnostic and alarmingknowledge in the meidical domain. And the limitations in region and time have been broken,this makes the modern meidical monitoring system has the features of flexibility,intelligentand foresight.In this paper,we first do research and analysis on the existing ontology constructiontechnology,then design a new method of ontology using in this paper. In the process ofconstructing ontology of diagnostic and alarming service,we reference the related medicaldata,the electronic medical records and opinions of experts in the medical field.By comparingand analysis,we adopt the tool of Protégé and OWL language to construct and describe theontology. We analyse and describe rules of diagnosing and alarming of the physiologicalparameters detailed by using SWRL rule language and SWRLTab editor.Then tests on rulereasoning has been developed using Jess reasoning engine in Protégé to ensure thecorrectness and effectiveness of the SWRL rules.Secondly we design and realize the health monitoring and early warning platform.We firstcomplete the development of system reasoning machine,using the ontology,SWRL rules andJess reasoning engine to achieve functions of diagnosing and alarming on physiological parameters and disease.On the basis of that,we realize real-time monitoring for physiologicalparameters,management on information of system and users.This remote meidical monitoringsystem based on technology of ontology can provide personalized,percision,real-time andautomation of the health monitoring and emergency alarm services. At the same time,it canrealize the sharing and reuse of the knowledge in the medical domain,making the expansionof system functions easier.In the end,we make a comprehensive summary on the achievements and disadvantages,and propose that the research emphasis in the future is extension of the diagnosis and alarmservice ontology and the diagonosis rules and the improvement of the system functions.
