On The Journals Of Public Library And University Library Of Gray Literature

Since the beginning of20th century,Little magazines were active in western countries, and Folk magazines were active in China. Library journals of both Public Library and University library are initiated from Folk magazines. This paper studies present situation of Library journals of Zhejiang,Jiangsu and Guangdong province and "985Project" Universities.The author screened out of14journals of Public Library and26journals of University Library, and pointed out the connection between library journals and comprehensive reading promotion. In the following parts, the author summarized the inadequacies in the course of library journals editing, and put forward some advices so as to improve the quality of journals editing. First of all, library leaders must recognize the importance of Library journals; second, the editors must further clarify the purpose of journals editing, enhance the aesthetics of journals, and personalized the journals; third, the editors should expand their knowledge range; at last, libraries must fully recognized the importance of communication with readers, so as to promote the interaction between libraries and readers.Nowadays, library is no longer a place for the book borrowing and returning, it had changed into an information center and a culture communication center. In turn, the methods of library journals editing must get changed correspondently. Library journals should think about the reading needs of both readers of library or not, and librarians also, and turn into Learning journals so that readers may know more about libraries and use libraries better.
