Wireless sensor networks(WSN) are composed of plenty of sensors nodes with the ability of sensing, computation, and wireless communication, widely used in many different fields, such as military, environment science, health care, smart home, modern agriculture and intelligent transportation. The technologies of WSN have been involved in sensors, embedded system, distributed computing, miniaturization and other technologies.Node localization technology is one of the core technologies of wireless sensor networks. Without the localization of the nodes, the entire sensor network can’t work correctly. It is very meaningful to use less costs to complete more accurate positioning. So in this paper, we focus on the DV-Hop algorithm and propose a improved DV-Hop algorithm called AFDV-Hop algorithm. Besides, in the simulation, the comparison between DV-Hop and AFDV-Hop algorithms will be show below.Starting from the network system model, the thesis introduce the hardware of node and the signal mode of wireless communication. And based on that, we go on proposing the classification of positioning technology, location algorithm evaluation as well as several classic unknown node position estimation method. Before putting forward AFDV-Hop algorithm, this paper give a glance of uniform method to ensure the reliability and validity of the data from simulation. Then using the graph theory, this paper analyses the the error of DV-Hop algorithm in the non-uniform networks. Simulation results show that compared with the traditional DV-Hop algorithm, the proposed AFDV-Hop in this paper can improve the accuracy of30%in the condition of20%uniformity. And with the decrease of uniformity, the improvement of AFDV-Hop algorithm is more obvious.
