Study And Design Of Topic-choosing System For College Students’Graduation Thesis

Graduation thesis is an indispensable part of talent-training program at college and a significant task with which college students must deal before their graduation. To choose the thesis topic is the first step in the administration of graduation thesis. However, there are various problems in the present ones, for instance, lack of process control and lack of good communication and exchange between teacher and students. Therefore, a very important criterion to judge whether the topic-choosing system is superior depends on whether it shows real-time, rationality.Firstly, the paper studied and analyzed the background of topic-choosing system for College Students’Graduation thesis based on the network. It also discussed the current status and features of topic-choosing system. The researching object of the paper is about topic-choosing system for Graduation thesis in JiNing Teachers College. It worked out the systematical structure and general design based on the detailed analysis of topic-choosing requirements and described the concrete design of each module in detail. Lastly, it offered certain applications of the system and put forward some ideas and suggestions about how to improve the system.The topic-choosing system is based on the technology of ASP, B/S structure, and SQL Server2000database and finally achieved several important functions such as the instructors set the topic, the departments check the topic, the students choose the topic and information administration as well as system maintenance. The topic-choosing system designed in the thesis can be used easily and expanded readily and in the meantime meet the needs of students’topic-choosing and hence improved the efficiency of thesis administration in our college.
