Researches On The Academic Library Information Service Model Based On Mirror-paradigm Theory

Being derived from the technology development, big changes of informationenvironment is having a sustained and far-reaching influence on the evolution ofacademic library information service model. In the new period, how to improve thismode and make it provide high quality and satisfying information service to readers isone of the problems to be solved urgently in related study. The appearance ofmirror-paradigm theory puts forward a new idea of service to the academic libraryinformation service model development.This paper focus on mining the important role that mirror-paradigm theory couldplay in the academic library information service, by reviewing the original formingreason and development history of the "mirror-information" group, this paperdiscusses the development environment and forming conditions of the academiclibrary information service model in the new period, especially focus on the closelylinked relationships among the library, mirror-group and service mode; this paperinduces and analyses the development trends of academic library information servicemodel; Combined theoretical research and practical problems and based on the theoryof mirror-paradigm, this paper puts forward a creative method of academic libraryinformation service activities and tries to build a service model based onMirror-Paradigm theory.Making mirror-paradigm theory as the unique entry point has a constructivesignificance on the promotion of academic library information service modeldevelopment, it will provide valuable reference for the enrichment and developmentof the whole academic library information service system.The content of this study includes five parts:The first chapter mainly introduces the background and significance of this paper,gives a brief over-review of the relative research status both at home and abroad, then puts forward the content and research method of this paper on this basis.Chapter2of this paper is the relative basic theoretic elaboration about themirror-group and academic library information service model. Give a systematicoverview of mirror-paradigm theory and the already existed service model, whichprovides a theoretical basis for the contents after.Chapter3of this paper is user’s information demands based on mirror-paradigmtheory. First there is a general overview, then the detail analysis of different type ofdemands of user’s, at last, there is the summary of academic library user’s demandsand the factors affecting their information activities based on mirror-paradigm theory.Chapter4of this paper puts forward the structure of the academic libraryinformation service model based on mirror-paradigm theory.
