With the development of economic and the progress of culture, the quality ofperformances has been demanded increasingly, stage technology has also beendeveloped rapidly. The characteristics of the modern stage system are: morecontrol objects, more flexible methods, higher security and reliability.Multi-motor synchronous control is one of the core lifting stage technologies. Ifthe equipment can not run synchronously, then choreography effect will beaffect, even lead to security incidents, so the research of lifting stage’ssynchronous control has important practical significance. This paper is based onthe lifting stage of The Sixth Central China investment and Trade Expo’sopening ceremony. Aiming at the design requests of the project, this paper givesthe program of using four motors synchronously control four lifting stagecolumns and discusses the design and realization of the synchronous controlsystem in detail, major work is done as follows:First of all, this paper summarizes and analyzes the research situation anddevelopment trend of the lifting stage synchronous control at home and abroad,and discusses the process and principle of the control system. Analyzing thecharacteristics of the induction motor and inverter system, and building theirmathematical models.Secondly, according to the characteristics of large inertia, nonlinear andtime-varying, a new control method is proposed——Fuzzy-PID control method.It is based on the advantages of conventional PID control and fuzzy control. Byusing the MATLAB simulation platform, the result proves that Fuzzy-PIDcontrol method can achieve these requirements which are system synchroniza-tion, rapidity and stability better.Finally, this control system uses the MCGS configuration software to designthe man-machine interface. Fuzzy-PID control method is applied to the liftingstage system, and the result of the show is very good.
