At present, the synchronous control of cigarette making and tipping machine combination is mostly completed by mechanical control mode, such as main motor, gear, synchronous belt, but the application of multi-motor synchronous control system is rare. The main reason is that multi-motor synchronous control system is a strong-coupled, multivariable, and non-linear, so it is limited in real application for its low control accuracy. In order to improve control accuracy and performance of multi-motor synchronous control system, and ultimately it can be applied to cigarette making and tipping machine combination. The paper takes filter assembler YJ27as research object and takes surface permanent magnet synchronous motor as control object to make research on both control structure and control strategy of multi-motor synchronous control system.At first, the paper analyzes basic structure, working principle and characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in detail, and then establishes simulation model of surface permanent magnet synchronous motor in Matlab/Simulink by id=0vector control method.Based on feed-forward control technology, the paper improves the speed compensation controller of the traditional deviation control structure, and puts forward a PI speed compensation controller, which, in compared with the conventional fixed gain speed compensation controller, has faster response, higher control-precision, better performance and so on.In view of the limit that the existing multi-motor synchronous control system can’t achieve proportional control, the paper achieves proportion synchronous control of multi-motor by changing input coefficient of traditional relative coupling control structure of each motor and speed compensation controller. What is more, the improved relative coupling control structure can realize completely synchronous control of multi-motor by changing scaling factors of the structure.In addition, as nonlinear and strong-coupled features of permanent magnet synchronous motor nonlinear and strong coupling features, the paper designs an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller as main controller of multi-motor synchronous control system. To some extent, chattering of the system is reduced by adjusting the gain coefficient of an adaptive fuzzy controller, and stability of the system is ensured by using sliding mode control. In compared with PID controller and general sliding mode controller, this controller is stronger in adaptability and robustness, and with higher control accuracy.According to the requirement of synchronous control for cigarette making and tipping machine combination, proportion synchronous control of five drums is achieved by exchanging proportion synchronous control of original gear for improved relative coupling control structure multi-motor synchronous control system which was put forward in the paper. According to the load characteristic of drum, the paper sets each parameter of the five motors, and establishes the simulation model in Matlab/Simulink, then, makes contrast simulation experiments about control structure and control strategy. The simulation result shows that, proportion synchronous control of five motors is achieved by improved relative coupling control structure. What’s more, multi-motor synchronous control system with PI speed compensation controller and fuzzy-sliding mode controller has better dynamic and static performance.
