With the rapid development of network technology and information technology, rapid form changes of media communication revolutionized human life. Traditional media such as newspapers and radio have been unable to fully satisfy the demands of people’s communication and interactional spirit. Mobile TV is a product of fusion of the three media:television, mobile phones and the Internet. It can meet people’s diverse needs better. With strong vitality, mobile TV shows the broad prospects of development.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter defines the definition of mobile TV and analyzes the unique characteristics of mobile TV. In the second chapter, learning from foreign mobile TV experience to clarify the course of development of China’s mobile TV. It shows the development context of this emerging media at domestic and abroad. Through specific survey data, chapter III is about mobile TV audience analysis. Chapter IV studies existing mobile TV content and analyzes its characteristics and categories to seek suitable forms and contents of mobile phone terminals. The fifth chapter is the analysis on the strengths and weaknesses of China’s mobile TV at present stage. It’s to strive to obtained the resolve of development problems and understand the cultural connotations to look forward to the mobile TV’s future.At present, the development of mobile TV in China is still in its infancy. Challenges and opportunities coexist in the course of China mobile TV. The essence of the mobile TV is a new media. From it, through in-depth analysis on audience and content research, we believe that China mobile TV will certainly emit a brighter light with the development of audience using habits and rich content.
