In order to get more efficient and accurate result in the cloth simulation, usually, the adaptive refined meshes are used. If use adaptive method on the meshes directly, topological "splits" appear between the coarse meshs and the refined meshs, which results in physical artifact. In order to solve this problem, we present a novel virtual node method suitable for the adaptive cloth simulation. Our work based on mature physical simulation framework, and in order to avoid the "Super-Elastic" effect, we impose hard constraints on the cloth model. We use Constrained Lagrangian Mechanics to construct the kinematical equation system and use Fast Projection Method to solve it. If impose hard constraints on the traditional meshes model,"locking" effect appears, so our cloth model based on the nonconforming elements. Finally, some examples and comparisons are given to show our method’s efficiency and accuracy. |
