With triple-play advancing, there has been an urgent demand for the operation andmanagement of convergenced heterogeneous networks. A network management in such a kind ofenvironment requires interworking the service control platform for the convergenced networks, tomanage the individuals of these networks, and to control robustnessly handover among clustereddata servers. The thesis focuses on the implementation technology of the management plane forconvergenced networks. The thesis includes three parts. The first part presents an analysis of a type of service controlplatform aiming at networks convergence, and a discussion on the service control related to servicebearing and control. On this basis, the function structure of management plane is proposed by JMXframework to manage the platform designed by an open source package Mobicents. In addition, themanagement technology of terminal and cloud server is explored in view of service bearing. In the second part, the thesis designs and realizes a management subsystem of terminal nodewithin the bearing plane. SNMP protocol and multithreading techniques are employed to developthe subsystem, which consists of six modules, that is, main module, CMTS module, CM module, database module, CMTS data handler module, and CM data handler module. After optimizingdatabase access by caching, the execution of the information collection statements has been speededup from1000per second to20000per second. The subsystem has been also tested by7x24-houruninterrupted runnings under full loads. In the third part, the thesis focuses on cloud server prototype implementation by XCP/XENvirtualization tools and performance comparation, especially in inter-host migration. It is showed byguest migration experiments that the average handover time is about30seconds for the scenariobased on XCP platform, and1seconds for XEN.
