Research developing and manufacturing aerospace products is a complicated systematic process. It involves multiple branches of subjects, it has higher design requirements, it applies complex processing technologies, and it has long manufacturing cycle, Moreover the research, developing and manufacturing units of the aerospace products are often widely distributed in different locales.Currently the structure for research developing and manufacturing aerospace products is first the Center Research Institute assigns the tasks to each sub-institutes and factories, and for each factory and institute, the management unit supervises the task while the R&D unit work on the tasks. However, because lack of applying of information technology, the staff engaged in the process can not track the status of every step promptly, which produces barriers for management and response, and ultimately slower the whole process.The aerospace product information management system, with the help of computer technology can perform data acquisition, data processing, and data transmission. It helps achieve the information sharing and integration between the productive sector and functional management departments, thus help improving the quality and pace of research developing and manufacturing aerospace products.This paper first analyses the requirement of the system on the following two issues:1) the research developing and manufacturing processes of the aerospace products;2) how to collect, store and share the reliable information throughout the whole process. This system provides reliable data for the full life cycle (development, test, production, storage, use). It includes data of reliability design, reliability test, FRACAS process, and flight test in orbit. It provides accurate, efficient and professional data support for aerospace research, development and manufacture.
