Following the increased uncertainty on requirements of in joint operations involvedmultiple services,rapid developments in technology, changes in the organizational structuresand widening spectrum of missions and operations, it provides the higher requirements onC4ISR system. Architecture is the important part of the high level design of C4ISR system. Itis the basic guarantee on quality of System Design, the fundamental path of filling therequirements on the operational command and control, the important step on savingexpenditure of development, use and maintenance. For the more, it is the sticking point ofensuring integration and interoperation between C4ISR systems and realization of theefficient integrative C4ISRsystems. So these is important theoretic and realistic significationonthedevelopment of thedesignon architectureof C4ISR system.This paper focuses on the designing and descriptive method of architecture productsbasedUMLand itssupport tool.First of all, the background of the C4ISR system architecture products design methodresearch is introduced, and the present state of the C4ISR system architecture products designmethodresearch, andsoft architectureareconcluded.This paper provides the coherence developing process of C4ISR system architectureproducts based UML. It includes five phases and three mission areas. The five phases areProblem Definition, Architecture Design based UML, Synthesizing Execute Model andFeedBack andMaintenance.As thekernel part of the developing process of C4ISR system architectureproducts basedon UML, the design of the C4ISR system architecture products is based on the ideology ofObject Oriented, and use UML to design the products of the C4ISR system architecture. Thepaper provides the basic ideology of the design of the C4ISR system architecture productsfirstly. Then it particularly studiesthe process of the design of the C4ISR system architectureproducts.The paper gives the descriptive method of C4ISR system architecture products based onUML. This method is the kernel part of the whole paper. The descriptive method of C4ISRsystem architecture products firstly defines the designing elements of C4ISR systemarchitecture products. It thenmakes mappings between the element of UML and the designingelement of C4ISR system architecture products—defines the stereotype of designing elementof products, sets the characteristic attributes of elements, and also describe the constraintsamong the designing elements of products using Object Constraint Language. And the paper also makes material study on the description of OV-1, OV-2, OV-4, OV-6b, OV-6c, OV-7intheOperational Viewof DoDArchitecture Framework.The tool set of architecture products based on UML is the beneficial support of thedesigning and descriptive methods of C4ISR system architecture products. It consults somediagrams of UML, independently developed, and supports the activities of architecture designand validation. Paper makes researches on the framework of tool set, the classifying andfunction design of the single designing tool. Then it picks up three key modeling editors,designsforthem anddevelopsthem bycoding.At the end, on the background of the design of the architecture of regional aerial defenseoperational system of divisionlevel, it usesthe developingdesign toolsofproductsto test thedesigning and descriptive methods of C4ISR system architecture products in this paper. Andit providestheproducts ofOV-1,OV-2,OV-4, OV-6C,OV-7,SV-1,etc.
