Based On Gps/gprs Vehicle Monitoring System Research And Implementation

With the gradual progress of the national strategy on development of coastal cities, the engineering vehicles have a relatively large increase in size and number than in the past in the process urban construction. The daily management of these engineering vehicles not only relates to the progress of the project and the company operating conditions, but also the impact for the social problems such as the urban environment, transport, security and people’s daily life. Therefore, the design of a practical intelligent vehicle monitoring and management system to manage these engineering vehicles in efficient and standardize operations becomes an urgent subject.GPS (Global Positioning System), a global positioning system, which has a high value of navigation applications, can be used to solve the problem of spatial orientation and navigation in urban traffic. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), General Packet Radio Service technology, is the continuation of the GSM. By the packet way to transfer data, GPRS can ensure the stability of information transmission with relatively cheap fee.Based on GPS/GPRS, this paper studies vehicle monitoring system. It is an important component of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Setting the GPS global positioning technology, GPRS wireless communication technology and GIS geographic information system technology, it can be more convenient for the realization of the project vehicle condition monitoring, burglar alarm, command and control functions by means of electronic maps. It can provide strong technical support for enterprises, the project operating company or individual with intelligent traffic monitoring and management.
