Multi-base Radars have the good ability of Four Anti-threat, that is anti-radiate guided missile, anti-electromagnetism jamming, anti-low altitude inbreak and anti-hidden object. They remedy single-base Radar’s limitation effectively, signify much in improving the whole level of Radar’s aerial defence net, and play the very important role in wars nowadays and the coming communication wars. The key technology of multi-base Radars is triple-synchronization, include time synchronization, space synchronization and phase synchronization, which should be resolved firstly during the designing of the system.In this paper it is analyzed and discussed in details about the problem of time synchronization and frequency synchronization in a multi-base Radar system, after comparing all kinds of time-given technologies, using Rb. atomic clock as frequency reference and Global Position System(GPS) common-view method can realize the precision in synchronization of time and frequency of multi-base Radars. This project remedies the limitation of using plenty of time to repair frequency errors in a traditional time synchronization equipment, and improves the precision greatly after reparing. The result of analysis and discussion shows that the multi-base Radar’s synchronization technology’s project is correct and realizable.
