The research on multi-target and environment simulation for digital phased array radar is aimed to develop a general multi-target and environment simulation system. It can fulfill all types of digital phased array radars’demands of the system and all sub-system software and hardware functional debug. The system integrates multi-target simulation, clutter simulation and certain of jamming signal simulation as the working environment. It is used to estimate the radar function of the probability to find the target in the complicated electronic and magnetic surrounding, the testing of the clutter visibility and the testing performance of radar in electronic warfare environment. It is fit for many kinds of digital signal simulation demands of the different types of radar working in C to X band. So it provides the advanced simulation and testing method for the radar developing, producing, maintaining and so on.The thesis summarizes the important meaning of the multi-target and environment simulation research and the technology developing state in this research field both in our country and aboard. It introduces the simulation principle of the target, clutter and jamming signal for the digital phased array radar in details. The emphasis is on the deeper research of the wide-band DRFM technology, the wide-band digital multi-target processing technology, the digital clutter generator technology and digital noise jamming technology.After the digital phased array radar multi-target and environment simulation system is in practice, the amount of the work in debugging and verifying which should be progressing during the field test fly can be transferred to the laboratory inside the field. It can reduce the people resource, the material resource and the fund resource which are cost in debugging and verifying outside the field in great intent. At the mean time, the period of radar developing is greatly reduced and the produce competent ability is greatly promoted.
