With the development and progress of spaceflight technique, high request forobject detection is put forward. Measurement of multi-object and cluster-object needstarget recognition more and more. It offers foundation for research of target recognitionthat Phased array radar based on wide-band owes measurement ability of multi-objecttrajectory, scattering characteristic and imaging. Frequent task of object detection offerscondition for research of target recognition. Need and stake of a national important itempresents drive and guarantee. Key technique of characteristic extracting, targetidentification, system designing, system testing and etc is get in the study.Motion feature, scattering feature and imaging feature is studied aboutcharacteristic extracting. Different object has its intrinsic motion property. Spacecrafthas high speed and high orbit. The spacecraft and the earth have no crossing point.Missile target has asymmetric speed, varied altitude and crossing point with the earth.Aircraft has maneuverability and low altitude. The trajectory of aircraft is not smooth.RCS is sensitive to target pose. RCS curve of steady-going target has small wave andRCS curve of unsteady target has large wave. Wide-band imaging has high resolutionand realizes target identification. Here feature of extracting can partition differenttargets.D-S proof fusing and nerve network is studied about target identification. D-Sproof fusing can improve recognition probability by fusing different feature recognitionprobability. Nerve network realizes high recognition probability by training and study.Soft system of target identification is designed and realized based on highperformance server. The system includes data communication module, featureextracting module, identification algorithm module, identification display module, andetc. All function block of the system can be easily added, cut down, or improved bydesigning of module.The technique of system testing roots need of target identification system. And thetechnique is developing continually with new need of identification. Testing system canevaluate the real time and afterward identification performance of identification system. The testing item includes identification probability, identification stability, and validityof feature extracting and identification method, rationality of system parameter. All canoffer information for identification system improving.Successful application of identification system in the mission proves the maturityof identification technique and reliability of identification system. The identificationtechnique and identification system has abroad forward of application and has somereference value for space target recognition.
