In recent years, using the MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Out-put) technology into radar detection field to improve the overall performance of the radar system has become the focus of research at home and abroad. With the development of radar technology, the receiver front-end sensitivity, linearity, dynamic range and anti-jamming indicators also asked the ever-increasing demands.Combined the MIMO radar project, the receiver front-end circuit for MIMO radar target detection system is designed. In this paper, firstly, introduces the overview of MIMO radar receiver front-end circuit and the history of the development of the receiver. Secondly, the paper analyzes the basic structure of several receivers, including heterodyne receiver, zero-IF receiver, low-IF receiver and mirror suppression receiver. Then through analyzing their respective strengths and weaknesses and the actual needs, we select the heterodyne receiver structure. According to the project requirement, C band of the low noise amplifier and Ku band broadband low noise amplifier are designed. The author joins T microstrip line between two levels as interstage matching network to make the low noise amplifier gain flatness less than1dB, and use the balance structure to widen Ku band low noise amplifier bandwidth to4GHz. The paper also designed C-band single balanced mixer, improves the3dB coupler circuit, increases the bandwidth of the mixer, and reduces the mixer noise figure by adding the matching circuit before the filter. Finally, the PCB boards of C band of the low noise amplifier and mixer are drawn by the Cadence software and they are manufactured and tested practically. The test results consistent with the simulation results and meet the design requirements.
