Radio frequency transceiver circuits have a very broad range of applications. So the training of RF technology on students becomes more and more important and the RF train-instrument development is also very important. As a result, RF front-end circuits have become one of the most active research areas in wireless communications. This paper mainly focuses on the issues of RF receiver. In this paper, receiver RF front-end is researched and designed, both devices and system. To begin with ,a 815 MHz low noise amplifier is designed with ADS, and The main emphasis will be put on the input and output impedance_matching. Any more, a double balanced mixer with HSMS-2829 is designed and simulated with ADS. Finally, a frequency synthesizer used ADF4113 and a self-designed VCO is designed, of course the most important factor is phase-noise and spurious output. As a result, we can not only reduce the R&D cost, but also easily realize the goal with Agilent's ADS2006,which can be used in simulating and designing RF/MW circuits.
