Study On Ontology-based HACCP System Knowledge Service

HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control point), which is a scientificmanagement system of hazard identification, assessment and controlling for food safety.The concept of ontology engineering and knowledge management approach wasintroduced to HACCP system and an ontology-based HACCP knowledge service systemwas constructed on the basis of realization of resource management and traceability of beeproduction processing enterprises.The paper focuses on the realization and design on traceability of bee production,ontology modeling of HACCP system and a practicable plan was proposed to achieve theknowledge service that is making use of the advantage of ontology and CBR technology.The framework of system was presented by focusing on knowledge representation ofHACCP and methods of case-based similarity reasoning in order to realize the system onsemantic level and improve the mechanism of management.The main contents of research and achievement in this paper can be abstracted asfollowings:1. In order to realize safe production of bee and traceability of quality information,a proposal of how to trace information for bee production processing enterprises waspresented in combination with the current situation of bee products in our country and hasbuild up resource management and traceability of bee production processing enterprises,including measures and circuit in every link from raw material in factory to final Products.Then Research the application of key technologies in the system. At the end, discuss howto achieve the real traceability bee products.2. A theory and method of building HACCP system models based on ontology isproposed. The paper by means of the ontology edit tool Protégé and research knowledgerepresentation to convert HACCP knowledge into domain ontology represented inRDF/OWL and then describes HACCP system including conception, relationship andwork-flow. Furthermore, the paper constructs a sharable, reusable and extensibleontology-based HACCP knowledge base which will improve the efficiency of reasoningand service of semantic, and it can also be the foundation and technical support of domainknowledge service, Natural language processing.3. A HACCP knowledge service system based on ontology is developed on the Eclipse platform, which adopts java programming technology. The correctness andeffectiveness of theories and methods are validated through experiments.The research achievements in this paper is not only helpful for effective expressing,organization, management, reusing and sharing of HACCP system, but also havesignificances on both theory and practice in enhancing the capability of resourcemanagement and traceability of bee production processing enterprises on ability ofproblem solving and collaborative, increasing the intelligence level of food safetyproduction traceability, and further researching on the knowledge engineering theory andkey technologies.
